Sebastian Adams was a minister and an educator. He wanted to put the world’s events along a timeline so you could see what was happening sequentially across different parts of the world. For history buffs, and especially for visual learners, that is a very different way of understanding history. It turns dates and events into something you can actually look across.

The chart is oversized and follows civilization across time. It shows major events, including Noah, his three sons, and their offspring. The way it places different peoples, events, and even alphabetic languages side by side is really neat to look at.

This thing is huge. It is the kind of visual history piece that belongs unfolded on a wall, where you can keep noticing new things every time you walk past it. I am amazed by the quality of it. As a Christmas gift, this feels like one of those things people did not know they wanted until they received it.
