I am getting closer and closer to my year-end goals.
Previously, it was almost impossible to get through everything on your wish list. You had to choose. You had to prioritize. You had to set time aside for each thing, and so forth.
But now, in the era of AI, and especially AI bots, a lot can be done. A shout-out to Grok bots.

Every year, around December 20, I usually take off. The company goes into what I call “pilot light mode.” We might meet for 30 to 45 minutes a day, but otherwise the office is off. We resume at the end of the first week of January, or around January 10.
That gives me about 20 days to get into projects, assignments, and all those things I have wanted to do.
This year is going to be slightly different.
I plan to finish all those assignments by December 15, hopefully. Actually, maybe even by December 1. Then, when December 20 comes around, I will be totally free. I will not know what to do, and that is exactly the kind of holiday break I am looking for.
For the first time in, oh, I do not know how many years, I am looking forward to that.
I am really grateful that we have these technologies to help us do our so-called spring cleaning of the mind: clear the backlog, get projects out into the world, and get things done so that we have more time to ourselves.
And the goal is not to just develop more and more. No. The goal is to do the spring cleaning.
Once the spring cleaning is done, enjoy the newfound freedom and the time you have. Use it for other pursuits.
Maybe even trivial ones.
